Aisling & Brian are currently building their first home together, they had heard from various sources how much per square foot it should cost to build, but they wanted to be sure as the figures that they were told were generalised. They contacted us in order to have an exact amount for various reasons, i.e. to avoid over-runs, ensure that they were getting good value for money and to present to the bank as support for a mortgage application.
Brian, who is a Cabinet maker by trade, felt that the level of detail provided in both the Bill of Quantities & Tender documents would also be invaluable to him in sourcing materials & direct labour, thus allowing him to manage the building project's progress.

Robert & Michele had sought quotes from three different Builders regarding their selfbuild in Wexford, the first came in at €218,000 the second came in at €234,000 and the third builder didn’t bother to bid. Robert and Michele felt confused and frustrated by the whole process as the Builders were slow to return with tenders and very sparse with the detail.

Gerry and Marion had worked had and saved their money in order to pay for their dream home and avoid having to extend out their mortgage.

Dave contacted Price to Build because he wanted an independent view regarding the costs that would be involved in the proposed extension and renovation his current home. He had had several quotes from different builders, all of which were very different from each other. These left Dave confused regarding what he they were offering or indeed if their quotes would be the final price he would end up paying.
Dave felt an unbiased cost analysis would allow him to assess whether he should invest in his current home or seek to sell it and use the money from both its the sale and the investment into an extension/renovation to purchase a new home.

Elaine contacted Price to Build after being quoted circa €180,000 to build (to Builders finish) her home. Elaine had concerns regarding the bid due to the lack of detail within the tender, she also felt that this left her exposed to “extra’s” and “overruns” as the Builder would not give commitments to this being the final cost.
Working together with Elaine resulted in us reaching a fixed price of circa €164,000.
