At Price To Build Limited we take every opportunity to ensure that the service we provide to you is of the highest standard, and we want you to participate in every step in that process. But before you do please note that the quality of our service depends upon the quality of the information you give us.

The Bill of Quantities:

• The bill of quantities is not a design document for the purposes of current health & safety regulations.
• The bill of quantities should be read in conjunction with the drawings and specification. Where a discrepancy arises, the drawings and specification should take precedence.
• The bill of quantities only includes work to get the building to a “standard builders finish”. It does not include any floor finishes, sanitary ware, furniture and fittings, external site-work or landscaping.
• The quantities in the bill of quantities, includes allowances for wastages and breakages.
• The bill of quantities provides budget allowances for specialist contractors such as windows, plumbing, electrical and carpentry installations. The drawings and specifications should be sufficient to obtain detailed submissions for each of the sub-contractors.
• The bill of quantities is priced based upon current market rates. No allowance has been made for construction inflation.
• VAT is included at the rate that is applicable to each aspect of the works, i.e. 13.5% and 21%.
• The bill of quantities is based upon the direct labour costs and excludes any builder’s overheads and profit. It should be noted however that costs may be incurred in engaging a project manager to coordinate and programme the sequence of works during construction when proceeding upon the direct labour route.
